PSN is a unique and far-reaching network that plays an important role in advancing integrated approaches to population and sustainability issues. By making a donation to PSN you can make a significant contribution to a more sustainable future where all women have access to the necessary reproductive health services to ensure their own health and wellbeing and that of their families.

What your support can achieve

A core part of PSN's mission is to increase support for and investment in voluntary family planning and reproductive health services that respect and protect rights. This is a very cost-effective strategy, because for every pound spent in family planning, between 2 and 6 pounds can be saved in interventions aimed at achieving other development goals, including improved health, education and environmental sustainability (Moreland & Talbird, 2006).

Your generous donation can have considerable impact:

  • £5 a month invested in voluntary family planning can save as much as £30 in interventions to achieve the Millennium development goals
  • £25 could provide antibiotics for eight patients suffering from malaria, TB or HIV/AIDS by a PSN-supported project in Kenya
  • £50 can support a presentation about population issues to a business or think tank
  • £100 could pay for a meeting with government to promote action on population issues
  • £500 invested in voluntary family planning can save as much as £3,000 in interventions to achieve other wide-ranging development goals
  • £1000 could pay a year's salary for a local health professional on a PSN-supported family planning and environmental project in Africa.
