The Margaret Pyke Memorial Trust
The Advancement of Medical Education & Research in Sexual and Reproductive Health

The Margaret Pyke Memorial Trust (MPMT) is the registered charity which, in 1969, founded the Margaret Pyke Family Planning Clinic - now one of the largest specialist NHS centres for Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in the UK.

Whilst the contraceptive and reproductive health services are funded and administered by Camden Primary Care Trust, which is part of the NHS, the MPMT is responsible for supporting specialist medical education and research.

The Memorial Trust runs accredited symposia in Central London and regionally for health care professionals to advance knowledge and practice in both theoretical and practical aspects of reproductive health care.

The Research Unit has evaluated new and existing contraceptive products for their safety, effectiveness, and consumer acceptability, other areas of work include HPV screening and vaccination.

Since 2001, MPMT, operating in the domain of contraception and sexual health, and recognising the crucial importance of numbers in the world's population, has been the principle sponsor and supporter of the establishment of the PSN, whose focus is complementary to the Trust's own aims and objectives.
