Government Proposes Raised Retirement Age
- The UK
Pensions Secretary announced that the national retirement age will be
raised to 68 by 2044.
This significant announcement, coupled with
a restoration of the link between earnings and the state pension level,
represents a tacit acknowledgement that people are not only living longer into
healthy old age, but their reproductive life can also be extended.
